Just had a voicemail saying it was my internet provider and that there were multiple hits from different countries on my account. Voice then threatened that service would be lost unless I pressed 1 to talk to technical adviser., as the router and account needed resetting. Not a chance bud, and reported to my ISP and number blocked. Nasty scammers will try anything?

Same problem as everyone, called and told me my ip would be shut off in the next 24 hours. Caller hung up when I started asking questions like who is my isp, what countries have compromised my ip etc.

Got a call on our very new landline (in Shropshire) from this number - recorded message saying that our IP had been compromised and asking us to continue and click a number to 'get help'. Sounded strange - we rang off. Our internet connection immediately failed. We were advised by our IT consultant to shut down everything for a short while, including our router, which we only got yesterday. We're back online now and all seems ok.
